tsk tsk artwork

There’s a certain purity and simplicity of design when it comes to Matyroshka dolls. Tiel’s Russian Dolls art prints are no exception; although generally wrapped in elaborate clothing, I find their simple pear-shapes and childlike faces immensely appealing. Tiel, who is based in Australia, creates these adorable prints with a mixture of digital and hand-painted techniques; in short, they’re each original pieces.

In addition to Russian Dolls, I really like her bird prints. These are digital works which mix cute, somewhat abstract shapes with faded patterns, giving them a collage/fabric look. As Tiel says, her artwork looks both great unframed and framed; many are also extremely limited edition, making them wonderfully collectible. To see more, stop by her shop, Tsk Tsk.
