thymbl designs

If handmade were to be embodied in a person, I would very much picture someone like Mademoiselle A. Living in Germany in a little old house, amidst hills shrouded in mist and meandering alleys, her creations draw upon the finer, handcrafted traditions of the past. Above: sweet little bird and mushroom brooches, perched on vintage wooden buttons alongside flocked leaves and red berries; precious drawstring key pouches crafted from antique linen and accented with polyclay mushrooms.

This is not to say that Mademoiselle A. is permanently mired in nostalgia; she successfully fuses the old with the new with her lovely linen keychains and cellphone loops. Perhaps most adorable are her cellphone charms, which have a magical forest touch yet are clearly designed for the modern era. If you’d like to see more, please visit her shop, Thymbyl Designs!

  1. I recommend Thymbyldesigns with all my heart. Mlle A’s creations have this subtle touch of feminity which really brings magick into everyday.

My personal favourites are her pouches and the lil bird brooches – and her Matryoshka hairsticks keep me chopping my hair short !
