redcrowarts handcrafted clay art and mosaics

Stepping into Judy’s RedCrowArts shop is a bit like winning the lotto; there’s simply so much to take in and look at! What she makes is pottery, and lots of it–little pendants, dishes, mosaics and vases are every you turn, all of them unique and handcrafted. Although Judy does use molds, her pieces remain one of a kind due to the various glazes and extra touches she adds to each piece.

I’ve personally purchased a pendant from Judy and found it just perfect; these aren’t tiny pieces that will disappear, but they’re not so large as to be burdensome. You can definitely feel the love that goes into her pieces, and with just over 1,000 items sold since she opened in March of this year (!!!), I’m not the only one that feels this way.

One of Judy’s more interesting techniques is using raku clay, which gives a beautiful multicolor sheen to piece; if you’ve ever seen the way a soap bubble captures the many colors of the rainbow, raku is a bit like that. I like that it’s still pottery but has a nearly metallic look to it. For more of these pieces, stop by the RedCrowArts store; she has 120 items in stock as of this writing!
