rae dunn

Rae Dunn’s ceramics have an undeniably human touch; most pieces are irregularly shaped and dare I say even lumpy–yet it’s quite endearing! Rae also makes use of little bits of text; sometimes typewriter-style stamped, other times scripty, but always with little bits of timeless meaning.

One thing that sets Dunn’s ceramics apart from others I’ve seen is the inevitable bursts of creativity she works in; her colorful yet rustic Washer Vase is inspired by rusty washers (which she collects). Other details such as stitch detailing give Rae Dunn’s pieces a simple, but memorable appeal.
