oslo press

Cards and stationery tend to be fairly temporary affairs–but not in the case of Oslo Press, who creates beautiful wood veneer wedding invitations. These are the kind that I can see myself framing and hanging on the wall long after the wedding itself as passed; a little unusual perhaps but they’re that beautiful!

Oslo Press was founded by Glenwood & Jen, who, being unsatisfied with existing wedding invitations founded their own company (which is named after their cat!). The wood veneers are engraved using a CO2 laser; I particularly like that they round the edges which not only gives a nice, soft look but avoids sharp edges. Although they chose dark walnut wood for their own invites, they also offer birch, cherry, maple and oak.

In addition to wood invitations, Glenwood & Jen provide letterpress printing services. I also think that additional bonuses such as soy-based inks, 100% cotton papers and papers with deckled edges make them a serious contender if you’re looking for unique paperie for your own wedding. For more information on Oslo Press’ services (they also do baby announcements, thank-you notes and more), stop by their website here.

  1. I recently discovered Oslo’s work and think it’s amazing as well. I had seen wood veneer letterpress business cards, but never done as elegantly as their work for invites. Kudos!
