my sweet imaginations

As many crafters can relate, Susan Van Horn first began creating art out of a desire to make something personal for her two little girls–and to save a little money on the side. Four years later, Susan is still at it with sweet, innocent paintings that are charming both in terms of colors and composition.

Many of her paintings use subtle blues, light greens, pinks and splashes of red and yellow; the overall effect is innocent, pastoral and utterly calming: perfect for little girls’ rooms the world over. Each painting that Susan sells is an original piece; you can even request small modifications so that the girls in the artwork resemble your own child!

Susan works with acrylic paint over stretched canvas; her style is a mix of museum and gallery wrap, in that she applies a custom pattern on the edges that beautifully complements the painting itself. For more information and artwork, I encourage you to stop by Susan’s Etsy store or her homepage, My Sweet Imaginations.
