marijke’s handbags

In my experience, felt appliqués can be done either poorly or beautifully; Marijke’s handbags are definitely in the latter category. Each piece is hand-cut and then hand embroidered for a really nice fit and finish. Her 15 years of experience as a graphic designer shows, as her colors and shapes have a nice zing to them.

This zing carries over to the handbags themselves, which are fresh and casual. Marijke definitely has a knack for picking the right contrasting fabric, which is just visible from the zipper opening of the bag. In all, these are truly beautiful bags that are full of personality and handy at the same time! To see more of Marijke’s selection, stop by her Etsy shop here.

Ooooo, I love the blue one and the taupe one with the red flower in the corner. I agree with you about the whole felt applique thing.
