I feel inspired when I see Stavri’s artwork, which by and large features the theme of flight along with birdcages and balloons. This is probably because her work is infectiously creative and is composed of overlapping imaginative stories; Stavri describes them as little snippets of creativity that come forth and then quickly disappear back into her consciousness.

That Stavri is imaginative is no exaggeration; she personally writes that she tends to start conversations with anything; cats, other animals and even trees are fair game. It’s a bit quirky but quite endearing–much like her artwork! She even keeps an imaginary dog named Bob by her side, which keeps her company until she gets a real dog (which she also plans to call Bob).

In addition to her prints, Stavri’s shop, Lily Moon, also carries postcards and petite portraits; I think the postcard sets in particular are a wonderful deal if you’d like to acquire several of her pieces simultaneously.
