I just wanted to wish a very Happy 4th of July to my American readers! Like many Americans, my parents are immigrants who came to the USA seeking out a better life and more opportunities. They still love watching Hong Kong soap operas and eating Chinese food but at the end of the day, they always talk about how much they love this country–my country.
