I really like the simple appeal of these totes and handbags by Renee Bou; they’re cute without being overly sweet. Many of her totes have only one or two appliqués, with a matching fabric on the inner-surface of the handles; it’s just enough flourish to keep its handmade appeal without being overdone.

Renee’s taste in fabrics are a mix of retro and Amy Butler prints; this works quite well with the cute frog tote above, which is screenprinted instead of appliqued. I particularly like that this is made from rugged canvas; for something a little smaller, twill and cotton are also available.
