This is handmade at its finest: mother and daughter team Linda and Jennifer Ackerman’s jewelry is not only cute but full of all the little touches that independent artists and designers are best known for. There’s the artwork itself, of course; these aren’t copies of work–they’re actually originals, hand-drawn in black ink on shrink plastic; what detail! As a result, each and every piece is hand-drawn to order; at $28 I think this is a pretty nice bargain in and of itself.

Each piece is also framed in roughly-hewn copper which further increase the handmade appeal; I particularly like how the frame slightly glints in the light and comes with a matching copper chain. What I love the most, however, is the complementary charm: get a bunny necklace, and you also get a brass carrot. Linda will even hand-draw a portrait of your pet if you’d like, how cute!
