knitty brooch

If you know someone who loooves to knit, these tiny knitty brooches make a wonderful gift! With a crossed pair of needles and a knit in progress, this cute brooch is definitely a smile-worthy accessory for knitters. =)

8 ball retro shoes

These offbeat platform shoes are available at 8 Ball, a store that specializes in retro paraphernalia. Many of these shoes have a distinct 50s vibe to them, but with a healthy dose of modern style throw in for good measure. I particularly like the Gingham Wicker Wedge and Emily Schoolgirl Mary Janes — check out [...]

felt that’s almost good enough to eat

In an earlier post I featured erasers that looked like food; it now looks like we have competition in the form of felt play food! Everything from sushi and bacon to easter gift baskets and cheesecake is reproduced in felt with remarkable accuracy. I’ve said this before, and I’ll say it again: it looks almost [...]

cute fondue sets from rotterdam

Although the word “fondue” generally brings back memories of cheese-induced comas, this perky chocolate fondue set definitely keeps me awake with the colors alone! Created by ceramics teacher Susanne Notenboom in Rotterdam, this set is part of her “Flow” collection and has a wonderful Euro-style feel to it. Talk about stylish–and fun–eating!

Available at eGiggle, the bunny is designed for the young (or young-at-heart) and is covered in soft fleece. Although currently unavailable, there’s also a stuffed elephant that is just as [...]

betz white’s pincushions

You know you’ve hit it big when Martha Stewart features you on your show–which is exactly what happened to Betz White. Her cute coffee and cupcake pincushions are made from old sweaters and felt: this is definitely recycling at its best!

domistyle aprons

Via Hostess with the Mostess: I’m in love with these wonderful aprons by Domistyle: each one is simple and classy in a way that goes far beyond mom’s traditional kitchen attire. Pink Funky Dots is my favorite, but I also like the simplicity of the Baby Blue Mocha apron!

oh usagi rings and barrettes

Bunnies: good. Bunnies you can wear in your hair and on your fingers: great! These Usagi (japanese for bunny) barrettes and rings are really adorable. Handmade from fuzzy felt, each features a sparkly flower thingie on their ear for a nice finishing touch.

Leave it to Dwell Baby to come up with mod toys: these soft blocks at BabyGeared come in a set of six and feature a variety of retro/modern patterns. A drawstring tote is included with lovely chocolate dots for stylish traveling as well as playing!
