alelale 2d stuffies!

These dinos, bunnies, dogs and cats by alelale are so cute! They remind me a bit of the two-dimensional drawings I use to do as a child (okay, I admit I still draw like this today). Also available at Etsy, they’re made from polar fleece and cotton by Ania Zelazowska in France.

SPÖKA at ikea

I am an unabashed Ikea junkie and proud to admit it: after a day of window shopping I found these cute SPÖKA night lights. At $12.99 they’re a little bit pricey (they only stand a few inches tall) but they are definitely adorable. Made from silicone rubber, they’re squeezable and also rechargeable so you can [...]

candy-like bracelets

I think these bracelets look a lot like taffy candy, enough so that my tummy’s rumbling just a little bit *smile*. Sweet cravings aside, I really dig the violet color scheme and mixture of stripes, checkerboard patterns and swirls–all in all, very playful and totally cute!

kitty pincushions

I’ve recently taken up sewing as a hobby (it took me three hours to figure out how to use my sewing machine, don’t laugh!) and I think these pincushions are absolutely adorable! They’re not round like the generic tomato cushions but are actually barrel shaped, which adds to the charm. Available at Handmadepretties’ Etsy shop.

huggable odkin stuffies

I heart these “Odkins”: just the right mix of strangeness with a very healthy dose of cuteness thrown in for good measure. These truly odd plushes are made from cotton and also feature floral/retro patterns and accents; many more are available at their Etsy store.

ivy dinnerware

Via Hostess with the Mostess: it’s amazing what a few retro/mod floral leaves can do to an otherwise plain set of plates. This twice-fired porcelain ivy dinnerware at CB2 is dishwasher and microwave safe, making for perfectly durable and lovely entertaining!

pacman and floppy disk coasters

Oh, my, god. I had completely forgotten about these beads until today–if you’re an 80s child like I am, these coasters by ThinkPrettyDesigns should bring black plenty of memories. Does anyone remember what they were called in the U.S.? (Edit: They’re called Perler Beads–thanks Ariel!) Sure, Pacman and floppy diskettes are relics of a bygone [...]

lovely boontje plates!

I love these nature-themed plates by Dutch-born (but London-based) Tord Boontje. The patterns are amazingly detailed; it seems the harder I look the more things I find! Note: They’re also available in white and blue with completely different patterns.

rubyfaz magnets

Most handmade magnets I’ve come across are nice, but these cute fabric-covered designs by Rachel really take the cake. Her shop, RubyFaz also carries mushroom-shaped magnets made from polymer clay; it doesn’t hurt that she’s also a great web and graphic designer!

interesting *ahem* smart card holders

Warning: the Japanese smartcard holders above are a little bit racy, but undeniably cute at the same time. While the note hangers are much more acceptable, the tissue roll holder is not. In fact, I’m not even going to put a picture up–click here at your own risk, but don’t say I didn’t warn you!
