ZAUM: Zimply Ztylish

ZAUM describes itself as a “small creative laboratory” but their appeal is anything but small. They’re best known for their messenger bags, with gorgeous, swaths of solid colors cut into architectural shapes. Each vinyl bag is handmade and is perfect for taking to work–extra zip pockets and compartments abound to store all your goodies, and [...]

A Little Odd Forest

I recently stumbled upon LittleOddForest and I have to say that anyone who sells “Snotty Bird Bags” is okay in my book. LOF, as it is known by its devoted fans, is run by Singaporean designer Lynda Lye who describes her work as “odd and colorful things with spunk and personality.”

Mogwaii Pillows

Via Decor8: I’m really feelin’ these highly tactile throw pillows by Mogwaii Design, which got its start in 2003 to a warm reception at the Chelsea Craft Fair. Made from pure wool and felted weave fabric, the overall style is simple, with the tasteful use of accents to keep things interesting visually and structurally.

Gems ‘n Jade: Joli Jewelry

Joli Jewelry is the brainchild of New York-based Jody Lyons, who puts together ornate earrings, pins, barrettes and brooches using a wide variety of materials including semi-precious gems and jade. These are definitely not “light” pieces by any measure; in addition to being intensely colorful, they’re also full of texture and 3-dimensional goodness. CuriosityShoppeOnline describes [...]

Kristian Vedel’s BIRDs

I know of a few friends who are deathly afraid of birds, which is a shame because I think these wood-turned toys would make wonderful gifts. Created in 1959 by late Danish industrial designer Kristian Vedel, the aptly named BIRD comes in three sizes: children (small), parents (large) and grandparents (chubby).

Piddleloop Pouches

I love animals – I’m an admitted CuteOverload addict and I constantly shower/annoy my friends with cute photos of my beagle, Sogo. It’s therefore no surprise that I really love these animal-adorned bags by Piddleloop. A sewing team comprising “two sisters, two hounds, a 3 yr old, and a sewing machine”, Piddleloop features a nice [...]
