ceramics by sara paloma

What can I say: Sara Paloma’s work is just plain gorgeous. By keeping coloration to a bare minimum, her work is all about form: and what beautiful forms she creates. My favorites are her elegant bottles, whose abruptly pinched necks reach skywards. In her own words, these resemble a dramatic cityscape; I would honestly be in heaven if I could have these in my own home.

Slightly more playful but just as elegant, her bird vases are embedded with birds that seem to be dipping in and out of the vase. I am also a big fan of her Ripple Vases, whose progressively shorter levels lend a slightly dizzying but mesmerizing feeling of perspective. Sara’s work costs a pretty penny, but I honestly think it’s worth it: her work is not only beautiful but clearly imbued with her unique sense of style and sophistication.

  2. Stunning work! Have done ceramics myself and know how hard it is to get is smooth and straight… I love the whiteness of the glaze too!
