I’ve featured Ali’s work in the past (I love her printed cloth dolls) but felt that her artwork really needed its own post. Some of you may have already come across one of her pieces; signature red cheeks, somewhat abstracted faces and portrayals of sad, introspective young women are common themes that resonate strongly with many.

A consummate artist, Ali works in various mediums that range from moleskin to mixed media; she also experiments with more realistic styles which I am equally fond of.
